These decisions include within attainable means, living in homes and neighborhoods of their choice with persons of their choice. This will allow them to pursue their own interests, express their individuality and actively participate in their communities. To exercise these rights, individuals with developmental disabilities mat need uniquely individualized assistance. Supported Living is a coordinated system of support centering around the individual. It is designed to facilitate each person&#8217;s choice to live, work, learn and actively participate in the community. These supports include training, protective oversight, physical assistance and environmental adaptations.
